Community Involvement

One of the joys of owning a small business is having opportunities to take part in community life and to offer more to the area than just fine goods to purchase.

We are proud to be a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and the shop is an LGBT Safe Zone.

Sugar Doll supports many organizations’ fundraising projects by contributing gift certificates. We have served samples at many community events and fundraisers.   Sugar Doll also makes one of our front windows available for display by nonpartisan community groups.

Our most involved community project was helping with marketing and sales of Local 484’s Firefighters Calendar.  100% of the price went to Local 484, which contributed proceeds to local organizations.

Sugar Doll’s owner has served on Stevens Point’s Common Council since 2015, representing District 9.
